How It Works

Everything you need to know before the madness begins — from purchase to party.

From purchase to party — in four steps.

Here's exactly what happens, start to finish.

1

Choose your mission ⏱ 2 minutes

Browse the missions and pick the one that suits your party. Currently Dog's Bakery is available — more on the way.

2

Purchase & receive your code ⏱ Instant

Complete payment via PayPal. Your unique access code is sent to your email straight away. Each code is personal, one-use, and valid for 14 days from first activation — so you can buy ahead of the party without any rush.

3

Enter your code & set up ⏱ 10–15 min on device + 30–45 min physical prep

Follow the link in your confirmation email — it takes you straight to the access page. Enter your code and you're in. Add the children's names, choose your game difficulty levels, select your cake recipes and download your printables — all from the same device you'll use on party day. Then follow the setup guide to hide the codes and stage the challenges in the room.

4

Hand it over ⏱ Instant

Lock the party mode and give the device to the children. They're in charge now. You're their assistant — an important one, but an assistant nonetheless.

Then sit back and watch the children take over. 🐾

What happens during the mission?

A party with a beginning, a middle, and an ending they actually earned.

Here's what that looks like in practice:

Children arrive and immediately have a mission. They know what they're here to do.
A short video sets the scene — then the device goes down and the real chaos begins.
They work in teams, crack codes, run challenges and unlock each stage of the bake.
They bake real things, decorate real cakes, and judge each other with great seriousness.
They earn personalised certificates with their actual names on. They feel like they genuinely achieved something.
They go home and tell their parents exactly what happened. In detail. For days.
📺 Connect to a bigger screen If you have more than 6–8 children, we'd recommend connecting the device to a TV or monitor via HDMI or screen-casting. It means everyone can see the mission screens clearly — especially during the dog identity reveal and voting screens. Makes the whole thing feel much more cinematic.

You set the madness level. They run wild with it.

Three difficulty levels. Your choice. Their chaos. You can mix and match — pick a different level per game.

Level 1
🟢

Simple

Lower mess, lower chaos. Works well indoors with no floor protection needed.

Level 2
🤪

Mad

More teamwork, more movement, more laughs.

Level 3
🤯

Bonkers

Water, flour, frozen things. Best outdoors or with plastic sheets down. Maximum madness.

You also choose the cakes. Cupcakes, layer cakes, biscuits — you pick what gets made and decorated. The children discover their mission one ingredient at a time as they complete each game.

Frequently asked questions

The things most people want to know before they buy.

Most families find it works well for ages 8–12, though younger or older kids can enjoy it too. The three difficulty levels mean you can adjust the challenge to suit the group. For younger children (6–7), Simple level works well — and if there's reading involved, you as the assistant can read the mission screens aloud or help where needed. The children lead, but you're always nearby.
A printer is preferable — it makes hiding the game codes and handing out wristbands much smoother. But if you don't have one, pen and paper works perfectly well. You can handwrite the codes onto small pieces of card and write children's names on paper strips for wristbands. It takes a few extra minutes but it works just as well.
It depends on your space and your tolerance for organised chaos. The app supports multiple teams, so there's no fixed maximum. That said, here's what we'd suggest:
  • 2–3 children per team is the sweet spot — everyone stays involved, no one gets lost in the chaos.
  • Kitchen size matters for the baking section. Can you comfortably fit 3–4 teams around the worktops? If it's tight, consider 2 teams with slightly more children each.
  • The more teams, the more mayhem — which is the point. But more than 4 teams gets logistically complex during games. Plan accordingly.
Most games work perfectly indoors. A couple of the Bonkers-level options involve water, flour or messy ingredients — for those, either go outdoors or put plastic sheets down first. The setup guide tells you exactly which games are messy and flags this clearly before the party.
Yes — at any point, even mid-party. There's an adult unlock button in the top bar of the app. Tap it, make your changes, and lock it again. The children see nothing.

One important note: setup must be done on the same device you use on party day. All data — names, photos, codes, recipes, progress — is saved directly on that device's browser storage. There's no cloud, no account, no syncing. This is intentional: it keeps children's data private and on your device only. Just make sure you don't clear your browser data between setup and party day.
Around 10–15 minutes on the device (entering names, choosing levels, downloading printables) plus 30–45 minutes of physical preparation (hiding codes, setting up challenges, preparing the space). Go Simple and the physical prep is closer to 20 minutes. Go Bonkers and allow the full 45. The step-by-step guide walks you through every single step — there's no guesswork.
Yes — it runs in any modern browser on phone, tablet, laptop or desktop. No app to download. We'd recommend using a tablet or laptop on party day so the screen is large enough for the children to see clearly. If you have a larger group, connecting to a TV or monitor is even better.
Everything is stored locally on your device — names, photos, codes, setup. Nothing is uploaded to any server. No account required. To permanently delete all data, simply clear your browser's site data. It's that simple.
